Illuminate

Does Illuminate primarily invest in climate technology or clean energy companies?

No. Illuminate's portfolios contain a diverse set of assets that are not weighted towards clean energy companies or any other type of company. Research has shown that the most effective way to reduce the risk associated with investing in the stock market is to invest in a diverse selection of companies and industries. At Illuminate, we believe that when you make the decision to invest sustainably, you should not have to take an increased risk by investing heavily in one industry.

While our portfolios are diversified across international geographies, industries, and asset classes, we do offer the ability to customize your portfolio with a theme that includes climate technology or clean energy companies. These theme customizations will usually involve about 1 to 3 percent of your portfolio if you choose to select them.
