How do I get started with Illuminate?

Getting started with Illuminate involves three main steps:

1. Choose Guided Investing

Click the Guided Investing option on the home page and complete a brief questionnaire. The app asks a series of questions to build a personalized portfolio recommendation. If you're unsure about any answer, you can modify it later. After finishing, you'll see your recommended portfolio and risk score.

2. View your investment plan page

This page displays the specific investments and allocation percentages recommended for you. You can proceed by selecting Buy, adjust your risk score using a slider, or customize further by accessing the theme dropdown menu.

3. Fund your account

You'll open an investment account powered by Interactive Brokers, a 50+ year old global financial company and FINRA & SIPC member. Link a bank account to fund your investments. The minimum investment to get started with guided investing portfolios is $20.
