What are Temperature Scores?

Temperature scores measure how a company's or fund's emissions trajectory aligns with global climate goals. These scores indicate the estimated global temperature increase that would occur if all companies operated at the same emissions intensity as the assessed entity.

Illuminate displays company and fund-level temperature scores calculated from greenhouse gas (GHG) Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions reduction targets through 2050.

Based on the Science Based Targets Initiative methodology, these scores give us a clear way to understand how companies impact global temperature increases.
